Eyes Like Those by Melissa Brayden

Melissa Brayden knocks it out of the park once again!!!

My Review

Melissa Brayden knocks it out of the park once again with this fantastic and beautifully written novel. Brayden is one of my all time favourite Lesbian fiction authors and Eyes Like Those has been on my must read list for quite some time so when it finally arrived on my kindle I was more than a little excited and dropped everything to dive right in.

The novel begins with Isabel Chase getting a job, as a writer on a hit tv show in L.A. This is finally her big break and she doesn’t want to mess it up, her new boss has quite the reputation as being the best and she would love nothing more than to learn everything she can from her. Her admiration for Taylor Andrews develops quickly into a crush which she thinks its all one sided… or is it?

Wow. This book really drew me in, to the point of reading through the night to finish it. This is an exceptional book to begin the new Seven Shores Romance Series and has certainly set the pace for an exceptional  journey with these new characters.

I really enjoy boss/ employee relationships as a plot in Lesbian Fiction. The protagonists automatically spend more time together and they get to know each other quicker because they are in close quarters and of course the idea of it is extremely sexy. With Taylor and Isabel’s story I felt it was ramped up a bit more because of the undeniable attraction from the beginning. Their attraction never had to grow it just was present from the moment they met. But the friendship to relationship that builds, seeps off the page like you can almost feel their chemistry. Normally it takes me a while to warm up to at least one character but I loved both these women from the moment I began to read about them. I don’t want to give to much away but these two are a dream come true for me and I really hope they will make appearances in the next Seven Shores Romance books.

Some of my favourite sections in this book are the ones with the four friends getting to know one another, Especially the parts with coffee shop owner Autumn. I was extremely excited to see her story is up next for release entitled Hearts Like Hers.

Another fantastic novel by Melissa Brayden. Now stop reading this and go buy it… seriously! Go!

Indisputable 5 stars of excellence. Im intrigued to see what comes next and I’m a little impatient about the waiting. Bring it, Melissa!
