Talk about going out with a bang!!
What was the book about?:
Sophie has been hiding her real self for five years. She keeps herself quiet and unassuming while working as a piano teacher when she could have been an orchestra superstar. That is until she meets Jazz, and all her well-kept rules start to fall apart.
But the secrets kept could be the reason she can never really let go and enjoy life and love with Jazz.
Secrets/ Toaster Oven
I can’t believe this is the last book Kiki Archer will write. Sad day in Lesbian Fiction and such a loss, but she went out with a bang. This book was phenomenal. Not only did it have all the usual hilarity and extraordinary storylines (with fantastic secondary characters), but it was the sexiest book Kiki Archer has ever written.
Jazz was, by far, my favourite character in the book. She was incredibly fun-loving while being incredibly caring and understanding to Sophie. Sophie was hilarious, but a few times, I wanted to shout at her, “Why do you keep F*!#ing this up,” but by the end, it becomes clear, and I wanted to give her a massive hug.
As I said, this is a sexy book. Not because of the actual sex in the book, but more the talking about it. These ladies have sexy goals when it comes to sex and the things they will do to please each other. But what made it different is that Kiki Archer still makes it fun. Neither Jazz or Sophie are taking themselves too seriously when it comes to sex and what they enjoy. It was really quite empowering.
Heat Rating: 🔥🔥🔥
(5 🔥 for the sex talk though)
Another hilarious read from Kiki Archer. I am incredibly sad this will be the last book from Kiki. She has been one of the highlights of reviewing books.
