Jericho by Ann McMan

Keep the tissues nearby because you will laugh so hard, you cry!

What was the book about?:
Syd Murphy relocates to Jericho, VA to take a position as the town librarian
following her failed marriage. Straight (maybe?) Syd meets the town’s lesbian
doctor, Maddie Stevens before she even gets to Jericho when Maddie has to
rescue her. Syd becomes immersed in the town drama pretty quickly and
develops a fast friendship with Maddie, who she doesn’t know is a lesbian. Syd
and Maddie have to navigate their growing feelings for each other, while also
being wrapped up in the lives of many of the residents of Jericho.

Featured Tropes:
Friends to lovers; toaster oven

Book Strengths:
Ann McMan has a way of bringing characters to life. She writes with gut-busting
humor, astonishing descriptions, and a realism you just don’t find, at
least to this degree, in most books. Even though this is an exceptionally long
book, you will still be sorry to see it end.

Character Chemistry:
I love a toaster oven romance. Watching Syd come into herself, and the love
that grows between her and Maddie is so special. It’s also great to see them
totally miss all the signs that love was on the horizon. These two were meant to
be together.

Heat Rating:🔥🔥🔥

Thank god there is a sequel!

Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
