What was the book about?:
After catching her boyfriend cheating on her, American Clara decides to go on the vacation they had planned together to spite him. After all, it was his life-long dream to ride the track in the Australian outback, not hers. Clara is very much an “indoor” girl and hadn’t been on a horse since middle school. Clara meets her tour guide, dover Evie, when she arrives in Australia. Clara is instantly attracted to Evie, and the feeling is mutual.

Book Strengths:
Both the writing and the premise of the story are great. I was drawn into the story very quickly. The character development was great for a novella, and the supporting characters added to the story.

Book weaknesses:
This one was hard for me because I really enjoyed this story, but the ending was just not. And when I say not, I mean the book felt incomplete. I don’t like it when books leave it up to the reader to decide what happens to the characters. This book would have easily gotten four stars from me, but the lack of a complete ending would not allow me to give the book more than three stars.

Character Chemistry:
Clara and Evie have great chemistry. Their attraction to one another is clear. I wish they had acted on it sooner, rather than later.

I would like a sequel so I can find out what, if anything, happens between Clara and Evie.
