Holly and Ivy by T.B. Markinson & Miranda MacLeod

This book is brilliant, a marvellous result of a great collaboration.

What was the book about?
Holly Lovelace owns her own company; she is brilliant but is so close to a breakdown. So her friend Nolan sends her to a paradise island and vacation point. When she is on her way she finds this beautiful woman in trouble and she is there to help. Ivy Winters works as a social worker and her goal is to help her community grow and to keep the young people away from drugs. Sparks fly and their chemistry is intense, but after their first night together turns disastrous they determined to remain friends. As their friendship grows their feelings do as well. But will the secret Holly holds the end for them or will they find their HEA together?

Book Strengths:
This is a collaboration I was eagerly waiting for. Their writing styles while different hold some similitudes, but both are so good that I am always waiting for their next adventure. I am very very glad they worked together to give us this beautiful story.

Both authors share writing elements in common that I love, like the smart, witty comments, the humour and unexpected situations being the most important. I knew whatever they created together would be wonderful and I was right. This book is great. Their writing styles merged perfectly to create this jewel. Everything worked beyond my expectations. Hope they work together again in the future.

I liked very much the development of the story and the characters as well as the dynamic. It was very enjoyable, I had a lot of fun with all the unusual situations, loved the sexy bits and the growing romance.

Character Chemistry:
The chemistry between Holly and Ivy is a dream; both are quirky and very lovable. Ivy is so different and could be considered a bit eccentric but adorable. Holly is completely adorkable and very nerdy, traits that make her absolutely cute but without many people’s skills. Both of them have trust issues which create a bit of havoc and it is very funny and interesting to watch how they deal with it. Also, was marvellous to watch them grow. I was so engrossed with the story that I screamed a bit to both of them at some point, trying to insert some sense into them at times. I can’t deny it is good when this happens because it means the story engulfs you completely.
