All my favourite tropes in one book… I knew right away this was going to be a great book, I just wasn’t prepared for how wonderful it actually was.
What was the book about?
Cassie’s parents cut her off when she dropped out of medical school. Deciding to go down a different path with her education is a costly venture and unfortunately Cassie doesn’t have that kind of money.
When the savvy and rich Brooke Wellington offers Cassie a job as her son’s Nanny she jumps at the chance, especially when the job comes with an apartment. Cassie takes to the job easily with her caring and nurturing personality and Noah is a dream child who she loves like he is her own. It seems everything is coming up roses for Cassie if she could just keep her attraction to Brooke under control.
But when Cassie begins to think the feelings are mutual and that there could be something amazing between them, should she follow her heart or her head?

Book Strengths
Since I received this book, I’ve read it three times, then I got the paperback for Christmas and read it twice on vacation. This book is that read blind with no spoilers because it’s going to take you on the ride of your life.
Firstly, let’s talk about tropes. This book is an Age-gap romance with a stunningly beautiful and rich Ice Queen who is attracted to her kid’s nanny! That’s five of my top tropes in ONE BOOK… Ice Queen, Age-Gap, Mums, Rich-Poor and Boss – Employee! I’m still floating from getting all my needs met in this book.
Secondly and most importantly, it works. This book has taken its place as the book to beat in 2020, and it’s going to be a hard task let me tell you.
The book is written solely from Cassie’s point of view and it’s wonderful to be inside her head. She sees the world in all its beautiful complexity and she really sees Brooke in the same light.
Cassie was definitely the hero of the book for me. Even though she is younger than Brooke, I think in many ways she was wiser and had experienced more of the highs and lows of life so when it came to Brooke, she was evenly matched. I want to be Cassie when I grow up.
Mostly I want to be Cassie because of Brooke. When it comes to the sexiest woman ever to be written into existence, it’s her. In the dictionary next to sexy is a photo of Brooke Wellington. She’s so icy and removed but then there are moments of complete tenderness with her son Noah, that made me melt into a massive puddle. I swooned so hard I kept getting dizzy! #perfection
Character Chemistry
The sexual chemistry between Brooke and Cassie was prominent for the first meeting. It simmers under the surface then explodes into the hottest of moments… The sex is not only steamy but damn right erotic in certain sexy interludes. It left me feeling all hot and bothered more than once.
It must be said though that the non-sexual intimacy is amazing too. We have an Ice Queen who doesn’t show affection to people other than her son easily. So, when she shows the smallest moments of tenderness to Cassie it blew my mind and gave me all the feels.

I adored everything about this book. Temptation is my definition of Lesbian Fiction Perfection.
