What was the book about?
Easy Nevada is tomb robber, fortune hunter, ex-soldier and lapsed archaeologist on a mission to find the last piece of a puzzle that will make her fortune. Dr Candice Cushing an archeologist first and foremost and wants to preserve the treasures of the past and her heritage. Their journey together will be one of excitement and sheer terror.. The sheer terror coming from a country which is beset by assassins and terrorist all seemingly with their sights set on Easy and Candice. The descriptions through out this book are amazing and felt I could feel the sand on my feet and in my eyes and see the intriguing archaeological sites. Not to mention feel the tension between the two wonderful main characters.

Book Strengths
The swashbuckling adventure feel of this book draws you in from the first page. You are off on a roller coaster of a story throughout the Sudan, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. The snappy repartee of Easy and the considered and at times “mic dropping” responses from Candice make for a very entertaining read. Yes this is a bit Lara Croft and Raiders of the Lost Arc but its more than that, the danger the women encounter is palpable and is definitely not a paper cutout depiction.

Book Weaknesses
I didn’t want it to end and I’m so glad that there is a sequel readily available! I do wish there had be some sex scenes in the book to actually capatlise on the chemistry they had.

Character Chemistry
It is important to note that the chemistry between Easy and Candice could be cut with a knife. No, there are no “sexy times” but the way they interact together at times make the heart beat faster and you are left hoping they will…eventually.

Wrap up
Ok I have to admit I’m a sucker for anything relating to archaeology and considering the main characters are archaeologists I was all in before I started reading. I haven’t had such a fun read in a long time and revelled in their awe of the places they found on their treasure hunt.
