What was the book about?
Lark is on the run from the cops for a crime she did not commit. When she finds a strange online ad requesting someone to sell their blood for money, she really has no choice as she is broke and has no other lucrative opportunities lined up. When Lark meets Thea, the woman who literally wants to drink her blood, she is completely intrigued, so much so she agrees to go one step further and have sex with Thea for double the fee. But when Lark starts wanting more from the arrangement than just blood and Sex… Well, with her on the run and Thea’s weird ways, it can’t be good, can it?

Book Strengths
Well that was some ride! When I picked up this book I had no idea what I was about to step into. I loved every minute of it. Between the holy hotness of sex scenes and the Age-gap/Ice Queen persona of Thea, I was all in.

I think what was really great was that Rose Madden was able to really build on these characters and create a great story in a novella length book. I mean, I really can’t wait to see what she could do with a full-length novel.

I enjoyed the first-person point of view from Lark only as it added extra mystery to Thea that I just ate up. I found the moments when the Ice queen thawed a little extremely entertaining. I also found Larks awkward jokes about being a Vampire really amusing, I chuckled more at the awkwardness than anything else. 

Character Chemistry
Well… Damn. This book is a little pocket rocket of sexy! The sexual chemistry and emotional intimacy was off the chart. Lark was in every way the perfect human for Thea.
