Romance, adventure and mystery what more could you ask for?

What was the book about?
Please, before you go any further, read The Sovereign of Psiere first otherwise you will miss out on so much when you read this book. This series is a fabulous adventure and to get the full understanding of the main characters and indeed the world in which it is set you really need to start at the beginning. That being said, this review will imagine you have already read Book 1.

Commander Castellan Tosh and The Connate, Olivienne Dracore are back and are planning to set off to find the third Temple of Psiere.. Their relationship has never been stronger and there are a few minor things to do before casting of on their dirigible, namely their oathing. Tosh’s commitment to her responsibilities as a Commander of the Shield Corp and her promise to the Queen create waves with Olivenne. From the beginning there is a sense of foreboding as all the travellers know there will be danger. Will they find out more about “The Makers” and the reason why their history began a little over 250 years before.

Strap yourself in for a swashbuckling, treasure hunting ride.

Book Strengths
I am in awe of K. Aten who has created the world of Psiere including its history and vocabulary. You get so immersed in this world that you feel you are there. This is not something just thrown together, everything has been thought out so well you believe it exists. The story flows really well and at times you are on the edge of your seat wondering what could happen next.

Book Weaknesses
For some the book might seem long but there is so much to pack into the story that I didn’t it find it long at all.

Character Chemistry
Tosh and Olivienne are brilliant together. Their relationship is strong. Two very sexy women who manage to overcome issues that could have the potential to pull them apart.

Wrap up
If you enjoy reading romance and/or adventure you will enjoy reading this book. The search to find out why and how the citizens of Psiere evolved is a fascinating story and I can’t wait to read the next instalment.
